Wrangell is accessible by water and air. There is no road connecting
the island to the mainland.

Airlines provides regular jet service to the island for both
freight and passengers.

Marine Highway System, a state
run ferry system also provides ferry service for freight, passengers
and vehicles on a regularly, scheduled
basis. Cargo is transported by three commercial barge companies.
Central Southeast's new inter-island ferry,
the MV Stikine, is now on-line. Additional information

northern route runs between Wrangell, Coffman Cove and Petersburg.
Smaller commercial aircraft and vessels offer transport service to outlying
areas and communities.
